Tidjani Wahabou has over 15 years of experience and leadership roles in Civil Engineering, Strategy, Change Management, and Project Management.
He currently serves as Country Manager and Senior Project Manager for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Guinea-Bissau. In that capacity, he oversees cross-cutting activities over four main pillars: leadership, compliance with commitments, networking, and capacity building.
Tidjani joined the UNOPS Project Management Office team in 2018, where he led the sucessful implementation of peacebuilding, humanitarian, and development projects.
Prior to the United Nations, Tidjani worked as Team Leader and Project Manager for various infrastructure projects in the private sector. He provided technical capabilities and expertise to ensure excellence in the delivery of complex roads and buildings projects.
Tidjani has had extensive collaboration and built a strong network with various Governments in Africa, regional organizations such as UEMOA, BCEAO, EU, Development finance institutions including World Bank, AfDB, AFD, KfW, and technical cooperation agencies such as JICA, GIZ, Millennium Challenges Account.
Tidjani held a Master of Engineering Degree from the International Institue for Water and Environmental Engineering (2IE). He was the Vice-President of the Nigerian Council of Civil Engineering, Member of the Association of African Road Managers and Partners, Member of the World Road Association and member of Project Management Institute.
